Haha this is a picture of Selah on Thanksgiving.  I swear she looks just like a boy and like Greg!  She definitely has a weird hairline,  I think she got it from the Arnolds side,  because my sister Megan has a widows peak just like that.  Her cute shirt is a gift from Natscha and Jeremy for her birthday.  Soooo cute!
Greg got me my Christmas gift early.  He got me the newest iphone!  It has a lot of cool apps for photos so be prepared for some different looking pictures!
This one was taken as I was trying to get ready for the day.  She like to help me put my makeup on....she dumps my makeup bag out and plays with the contents:)
Selah in her skinny jeans!  Haha looks so funny on a child!
I gave her her first Joe joes from Trader Joes (like an oreo)  Boy did she LOVE it!  This is the result:)  Looks like a mini mustache
Selah and I made cookies for Thanksgiving.  She helped me pick out the cookie cutters.  I got this huge box of cool animal cookie cutters when she was just a wee baby at goodwill for $3!  Cant wait to get some more use out of them in the future!
They came out really good!

So Selah is almost walking!  She pulls herself up on everything, and will just stand up in the middle
of the room with no help!  And boy does she love to dance!  She has not really attempted to take any steps but I have a feeling she will any day now.
Brr it sure has been chilly here in Huntington beach!  It was a brisk 46' last night!  I think it is getting me prepared for the Montana weather we will be seeing in 3 weeks
This is a picture of the mini cakes my aunt Jojo brought over for Selah real birthday this past wed.  They were sooo good!  They were filled with raspberry goodness!  I brought over the leftovers to my moms because I was afraid that I would devour all of them!

Thanksgiving was quiet and relaxing.  We went over to my Aunt Anne's house where she layed out the best Thanksgiving spread ever!  Yummy!  Selah had her first bites of turkey and cranberry sauce, and she enjoyed all the doggies that were over.  Hope everyone had a good thanksgiving!!

Party pictures!

We had two pinatas!  They were not only filled with candy, but stickers, toys and crayons!
I even got to hit the pinata a couple of times!
My mom made all the flower arrangements.  They came of so nice!  We used spider mums
gerberas, and eucalyptus.
Selahs party dress and shoes.  I got the dress from the GAP and absolutely fell in love with it!

We had pictures of Selah all over the party.  I also brought alond all my photo albums so that
our guests could get a peek of the 1st year of Selahs life.
This one said our little sunshine:)

 Birthday girl
She absolutly loved the bounce house!  She would cry and throw a little fit
every time we tried to take her out!
The cake was soooo yummy!   It was actually a cupcake cake.  We got it from Sams club for less
than $30!  What a deal, and tasty too!
We had a friend of ours who knew Tahitian dancing and the hula come by and teach
the girls how to dance.  They loved it!  Plus the music was fun to listen to:)

Overall the party was a hit.  But I'm glad its over...till next year!

boogiefaced

Selah is sick.....again.  The normal cough, runny-nosed, whiny, tired, don't put me down or I will cry endlessly kind of sick.  Thank goodness she was feeling good enough for her big birthday bash this past Saturday!  We had family come all the way from San Fransisco!   She is loved:)  Anyways, the party was a success,  I glad it's over;)  I don't have pictures yet because I didn't take any....the photographer did!  Just waiting on the proofs and disc and then I will post some of the b-day madness.  I do have one picture of the party though....haha it is of Auntie Meggy trying out the bounce house to make sure it was safe for the kiddos!

Selah video bomb

This is a video from a couple of weeks ago when our friend Ryan was down. He was sayings funny words and Selah thought it was the funniest thing ever:)

Took a bike ride to the beach, then sat on the benches and Selah proceeded to stand by herself, and then attack the camera like a little monster

This video is a bit older. It was filmed at our old place and when we had Mogli:(......ok I'm not sad about the dog, but Greg is:) Anyways, whenever we would feed Mogli, Selah would think it was her feeding time also...

Whenever she sees a picture of us she kisses it:)
Literally every time she wakes up from her nap she crawls to the nightstand picks up a picture of Greg and I and kisses it a million times while jabbering about how her nap went....Ok she doesn't yet say real words but hearing her you would not believe the mouthful of words that comes out of her mouth! Its probably because she is so energized from her nap...unlike me who instead of napping with her, tried to clean house;)

Today was a somewhat productive day. Really it was spent trying to get the last minute items for the biggest one year olds birthday I have ever heard of! haha Went to Sams club to get the beverages, and then bought the biggest bag I have ever seen of chicken nuggets. I went with my mom so it was nice to have someone else remind me of the little things I have forgotten, and heck she even bought me lunch!

8 days

Wow, in just 8 days Selah will be one... Unimaginable. Her birthday extravaganza is this Saturday...feeling a bit overwhelmed. Just hope everything goes smoothly and we have enough food;) Greg's side of the family is pretty large and then I have my moms side and my dads side of the family coming , plus some of Selahs baby friends too! We all know those babies can eat! haha. Hate to say it but cant wait for her party to be over...
The holidays are looming and then we have the great feat of the dreaded to Montana for Christmas. Definitely not looking forward to the 24 hour drive, with a 13month old....

On call

Greg was on call all day today, so the day was spent hanging around the house waiting for the dreaded call.....it came around 9am. Which is not that bad because last time it was at 4am in the morning!
I went in search of good garage sales in the neighborhood earlier this morning, and found lots of used clothing for Selah. Yay! I love not having to spend a lot of money on clothes they only seem to wear twice!
And lastly when Greg was finally home we went for a walk at sunset down to the beach and enjoyed the cooler weather. Have a nice rest of the day:)

Beach days in November???

Splashing around

Being silly in her toybox

Enjoying the ocean breeze with Auntie

Her shirt says, "My mom is the coolest" :)

Yes it is true. For the past 2 days Selah and I have enjoyed the beach. Can you believe the weather here in Cali??? I love it and is one of the reasons I believe I will never move! Today Selah and I drove to my moms house were we meet up with my sister Megan. Then with the two kiddos my mom was watching, proceeded to walk to the beach. And boy was that walk a scorcher! When we finally got to the beach the sun was out ,the water was chilly, and the wind was being kind. We had so much fun we ended up staying longer than we anticipated!
When we got home it was still VERY hot so we played on the patio with a bucket of water and ice cubes while I caught up on my emails and planning the last minute details for Selahs birthday. Enjoing this hot weather but tomorrow Selah and I are headed to the Central libray to attend the storytime they have...hopefully it will be nice and cool inside!

Here is a video I took of Selah on Halloween. It is her 1st lollipop:)
