Chocolate monster!

Helping mommy eat the last of the valentines chocolates.
Selah now weighs 24 pounds and is 32 inches tall!
She is in the 90th percentile for height and the 50th percentile for weight.

She loves to draw on the magic doodle, erase it and then start all over again!

I was trying to take one of my many daily pictures of her when she was sick.  Hence the pissed of look she is giving me:)
Everyone have a wonderful weekend!
We are off to go camping in Leo Carillo.
The weather forecast predicts it will rain all weekend
And on Saturday, thunder, lighting and possible water funnels of the pacific ocean!
We are bound to have fun!

Hannah's 4th Birthday

This past weekend was our niece Hannah's fourth birthday.  The celebration was held at a park in Chino Hills.
She loved the lil park they had there.  But it sure was cold!

It was a nice day all in all, but I was still pretty sick and felt achy and weak:(  Little did we know that later that night Selah also would start not feeling well.
She ended up having croup:(
She is slowly recovering, but her cough is still loud and sounds like we are sharing an apt with a barking seal!
This weekend Greg and I will be going camping with some friends to Leo Carillo.  It's a nice beach camping area around malibu.  Too bad the forcast says it's going to rain! boo!
We are leaving Selah with my mom over the weekend.  The first time we will have left her for the weekend:(  I'm sad but I know she will have a blast with my mom!

Selahs room

Its taken about 5 months of perfecting it, but I think Selah's room is done!
I designed the curtains but my mom sewed them
and I got the birdcage at a yard sale
The 8x10 canvas oicture of Selah was free online, and the decals were on sale at Big Lots
The night stand was my grandmothers, then my moms and then I had it in my room until I moved out.  I repainted it antique white and  robins egg blue.
The clown was Greg's as a baby, and the blocks were from my friend Kim Erins yard sale.
The toy box was my dads.  I sanded it down and painted it and then painted her name on it.  It is used as a bookcase for all her favorite books:)
Picture of Selah and I :)
Headband on ready to work out!!

Frogs bounce house and babyshowers:)

Cant believe she is going to be 15 months on the 18th!  Love her:)
 Baby Violet
Today my mom and her daycare kiddos and Selah and I all headed to Frogs bounce house in Fountain valley. Really cool concept.  It is literally a huge warehouse with tons of different bounce houses and toys for the lil ones!  Selah loves it there, so we try to frequent it at least once a week
She is sooo into the Nickolodean tv show called Yo gabba gabba.  Like so into it that when she wakes up in the morning she is singing the theme song and when she goes to bed she HAS to have a babba and lay down with her nite nite and watch her favorite "dance" episode.  I may be creating a monster! haha
This past Friday we celebrated Erin and her newborn baby Preston.  We were meaning to have a baby shower BEFORE the baby , but due to complications Erin had him at 37 weeks.  So to make sure she was showered with love and gifts we threw her a mini shower after the baby was born!  This is the cake made by twins that work at Trader joes with us.  It was red velvet and to die for!!! yummy!  You can see more at their website, Twinfully sweet.

This is my managers son, Nathan.  He is 4., and all Selah wanted to do was hold his hand all night:)
Grandma and Selah in the bounce house
 Nathans little sister, Emma
Selah new favorite book that greatgrandma Arnold got for her.  She makes me read it 38,273 times a day:)
I may have to "lose" it:)

Chocolate festival!

On Saturday we went to the chocolate festival in Belmont Shores.  My aunt JoJo called us up and invited us to join her and my uncle Phil.  Fun!  After fighting for a parking spot many blocks down we braved the crowds, bought a ticket book for $10 and set out for our chocolate fix.  There were about 10 stores in all that were participating.  The lines were the longest at the really good places like, Rocky Mt chocolate factory, the cupcake place and BJ's ( they were giving out mini pizookis!!!)  We were pretty impatient so we only got to try the places with the shortest lines.  Pinkberry, Yogurtland, some gelato place with really good raspberry gelato in a chocolate cup and many more!  All in all we had an awesome day!

Oh and they also had a really cool and new park that we played at on the way back!
