Busy week of fun in the sun!

Relaxing in the pool

At her bff 1st birthday party!

Busy week in the heat here in Huntington beach! Started it off this sat by attendeing Jacks 1st birthday party. It was at Edison park right behind where my mom lives. It was surfer themed, so cute! Selah loved it because she could crawl around on the grass and she tried goldfish for the very first time! Not the real fish, the crackers! And boy did she like them! Then on tues we went to the beach and enjoyed the weather and the sand. She loves the water and likes to eat the sand:) After the beach we went home and rinsed off in our lil pool in the backyard. Looking forward to my weekend off. I think we may go down south for some surfing and sun! Enjoy the rest of your week!

Mommy's little helper

My big helper!

Lately Selah has been mommy's little helper! She will crawl around following me everywhere and then proceed to cry/whine until I let her help. Makes my days verrrrryyyy lONG! When I go to take a shower in the morning she will pull herself up onto the side of the tub and holler to be let in. Boy do I love to try and shave my legs while clutching a wet wiggly worm!
Today I worked early and then came home to a very dirty house. Laundry, freshly tossed through by Selah, Cut up pieces of fruit on the floor, hand thrown by Selah, and dirty diapers everywhere....you guessed, all dirtied by the one and only lil miss Selah! Haha got to love being a mom!

Too cute!

Begining to look like fall

Her little roxy hoodie

Crawling...scouting the floor for leftover dog food:)

Every mothers favorite shot:) She was just being so cute!

Oh and a shot I found of Big Sur that I
wanted to add but forgot to in the last post.
Beautiful shot of Julia Phiffer State beach

It has been a bit chilly down here by the beach, so I have been breaking out Selahs winter clothes. And boy do we have a lot! Too much for her to wear in the short amout of time we Californians call "winter" Oh well ,I always just hand them down to my sister in law, Kelly Her daughter Emma is exactly 6 mounths younger than Selah but is just 3 pounds lighter! Shes the cutest lil chubo wubbo out there! So I took a couple snapshots of my moms favorite. Enjoy!

Lazy day today, filled with much laying on the couch and watching movies and snuggling with Selah. By the way Selah is 10 months old today! I cant believe in just two short months she will be one! Getting excited for her birthday. Already got the invites, and excited to mail them out. We are going to have her party at my moms house...I hope she can cram 50+ people in her house! We have a bounce house, hula dancer and a taco guy lined up!
Anywho... Selah has been making the funniest faces lately so I snapped a few pics to show:)

Big Sur and beyond!

The boys ready to go rafting

Selahs ready too!

Beautiful Big Sur

This past weekend we packed up the motorhome and went on a little trip up the California coast. Our destination...Big Sur. We left thurs night around 6pm so that Selah could sleep on the way up. ( I slept too:) ) We stopped off the side of highway 1 ( Pacific coast highway) about 7 miles shy of our destination. Woke up made some much needed coffee and hit the road! We had no reservations at any camp spots so it took a couple of stops to finally find a campground with availability. We ended up staying at a private campground called Big Sur cabins and campgrounds. I highly recommend it, despite the hefty bill of $60 a night. But wait! This also includes hookups, HOT showers, bathroom facilities, playground for the kiddos, basketball, inner tubes for river rafting and some really friendly hippies!:) We only ended up staying one night, the rest of the nights we just slept on the side of the road. Overall the trip was a success! Here are some pictures of the highlights!

Getting into trouble

Getting ready for a walk

At the beach

Hanging out with her new bunny friend

Caught in the act!

Wow and shes off! Selah has gotten the technique mastered to crawling and she will not slow down. Definitely a shock to first time parents. We thought the house was baby proofed.....yeah not even close! Wires, Moglis chewies, tiny microscopic pieces of dirt and lint in the carpet. The list goes on. With crawling comes bumps and bruises and hysterical crying which in turn leads to an over protective mother watching and hovering over her every move. Geez I am exhausted! Selah now pulls herself up in her crib too. Makes for sleeping in very hard.....I hide under the covers:) Well we had a very quiet Labor day here. Just a small BBQ with two friends and a lot of laying around! Hope everyone enjoyed their labor day and your upcoming short work week!
