Family, friends and birthdays!

Busy busy week here! Our friend Mia turned three this weekend. Nice to see old friends and eat good mexican food:) My Aunt Elaine and Uncle Bob came in from San Fransico this weekend. This is the 2nd time they have seen the lil miss Selah. Last time they saw her she was 1 month old! So suffice to say there were elated with this bigger version of Selah:) We all got togethher at my uncle Phil and Dianas House to BBQ kabobs and crab! Yummy! Ending the weekend with some alone time with my hubby and Selah. Pictures of this weekend...enjoy:)

Exhausted!

Working kicks my butt! Getting up two hours before I actually have to be at work does not help either. Besides getting myself ready in the morning I also have to get Selah up and ready to go with all her stuff for daycare. Then drive her over to my moms and then straight to work. By the time I clock in for the day I already want my 10 min break! Before I had a baby I had NO idea the amount of stuff you need to bring or prepare for their day. And now that she is eating more solids it means more to cut and pack and REMEMBER! So far I have gone to my moms haouse only to realize I forgot Selahs milk, forgot my pump, forgot her clothes for the day (She hung out in her jammies all day at daycare!) Ahhhh! It is never ending! I give major props to all the fulltime working mamas out there. I could not imagine being away from Selah 8 hours a day 5 days a week. Not to mention what my house would look like. As of now, with one day of work under my belt this week, the house looks like hurricane Bonnie touched down! Well I should wrap it up and do some laundry before bedtime so that Greg has some clean socks to wear to work tomorrow. work again tomorrow bright and early at 6am! Goodnight:)
Included is a current picture of Selah:)

Trying new foods

Past couple of days Selah has been trying a lot of new foods. Watermelon, mango, and gerber puffs. She LOVES the gerber puffs! She can now feed herself, which is very nice for me! I can now get a lot more chores done and shes not screaming for me to feed her:) Swim lessons are over:( But we are signed up for another two weeks! Looking forward to it.
We have been using the "Crying it out" method with Selah for bedtime......hard stuff. Usually we rock her in her bouncy chair for 10-15 min and shes out. Yeah I can just imagine her being two and us still rocking her in that darn bouncy chair! So time for CIO. Last couple of nights have been rough, I hate hearing her cry. Anybody have any suggestions to help with our bedtime routine??
Well I will leave you with some recent pictures:) And a video too!

Under water adventures

What a busy day!!! Swim lessons again at 10:00am. By the way she waved goodbye for the first time today! She did it at the end of swim lessons when we all sing the "goodbye song". Anyways then right after swim class we met up with friends grandma and auntie at the pool to do some more swimming and sun soaking. (I got majorly cripsy!) I took some great video and photos of all the fun and splashing around.
My good friend Natascha is married this Friday so I have been rushing around trying to find a dress that will flatter my post preggo body....yeah a hard feat to accomplish!:( Might have found one today at forever 21....and there is a reason the stores name is forever 21. Only a 21 year old would be able to fit in their clothes! haha. Well its been a super long day...wish me luck sleeping on my burnt back:)

Summer time is here!

Ahhh the joys of summer time. Beautiful weather, good food, and yes the pool:) Today was a busy but enjoyable day. Selah let us sleep in until 7:ooam and then we headed off to swim class at 10:00. Followed by the pool with auntie and grandma ( pics included) Then I got some alone time to go shopping....so nice not to have to worry about entertaining a 7 month old! When Greg got home we packed up and went downtown for surf city nights. Really crowded!!! But nice to be out on the nice night. We ended up at Duke's for taco tuesday...yummy:) Now off to bed. Goodnight!

Swimming like an otter!

Today was the 2nd week of Selahs swim lessons. She absolutely loves the water. We take the two week class at the city gym a block awake every day at 10:30am. The class is comprised of about 15 babies and there respective parents. A lot of daddy's and grandpas too! Its is only 30 min, but any longer and you would have some cranky babies! They teach things like paddling, floating and blowing bubbles. I enjoy it just as much as she does, only because the pool is heated and really clean:) We are going to sign up again before the summer is over, but at the 6:00pm class so that Greg can also join us! Here are some pictures:)

Week long birthday

Scratch that, Two week long birthday. Went out to dinner at Lazy dogs tonight with the Arnold side of the family to celebrate our birthday. Mind you not a fun place to eat when your on weight watchers! Selah sat in the big girl high chair and now eats biter biscuits, yogurt melts, gerber puffs and fresh cut up fruit. So nice now because she can be occupied for at least 15 min trying to pick up a strawberry!
She is now starting to pull herself up onto her toys. Good and bad. A couple of times I have found her with her bigger toys on top of her as she is laying on her back screaming for me to rescue her:) Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Now that I have some time on my hands

Made my first post in the middle of my day when Selah was awake...bad idea. So I will make a point of trying to update once a week, but don't hold me to it! Went out tonight for Denise Cassaro's birthday at La Capilla. We met up with friends Katie and Jack Messick. Enjoy the adorable pictures.

Better late than never

I feel like I'm getting a late start on a blog here but It is a nice way to share all the new things that Selah is doing. And a lot easier than updated facebook every 30 seconds! I guess to start I will take it easy and just add some pictures from the 4th of July. Enjoy
